I’ve posted a notice at my official blogging site, if anyone who strictly follows Chotto Matte! cares to check it out. It mostly pertains to my taking an extended leave of absence for a while (as I’ve obviously been doing for a while now), and it also includes Chotto Matte! in that equation, so I’d give it a glance if I were you.
Just popping in to say. Sorry, I don’t have any Maasa at this time.
They may be wide enough to act as bridges, but Maa’s gams are definitely in my Top 5 of best Hello! Project legs, and one of the reasons she’s a favorite idol of mine in the first place.
I’m feeling generous, so I’m going to do something a bit different with ‘Chotto Matte!’ today and include a little extra. 8D
A 12-year-old Maa sporting her awesome hairstyle for the “Piriri to Yukou!” PV. It’s kind of amazing how much time has passed; Maasa will celebrate her 16th birthday this year in July.
The Special: A performance of a “GET UP! Rapper” at the 2004 Natsu First Concert Tour ~W stand-by! Double U & Berryz Koubou~. Only Kumai Yurina, Shimizu Saki, Tokunaga Chinami, Tsugunaga Momoko, and Maasa were selected from Berryz for this song, with Kago Ai as the only one singing live out of the bunch. Maasa’s lines are particularly awesome and the way she mimes them on the stage only makes them awesomer. Hopefully you will enjoy it!
My H!P Kids holy trinity, with the star in the center. (Btw, I’m still missing Megu. But who isn’t? I refuse to believe there’s a person out there who just “got over” her graduation. …wait a second, this is supposed to be about Maa…)
Maasa and ex-Berryz Koubou member Ishimura Maiha. I have to say, when I looked through history I wasn’t initially fond of Maihacchi — she was a terrible dancer and barely a passable singer, and I often joked that she was the Berry with the most unfortunate looks in comparison to her peers. But she was cool in her own way and deserves more respect despite the fact that she’s gone. Plus, she’s Maihaman now, and that’s way more awesome than anything the remaining Berries could go on to do in their lives.
I am so loving the transparent eyebrows Maa has going on here.
Welcome to Chotto Matte!, etc, etc. (Yes, I’m basically mirroring my old posts from yossha here, don’t mind me and enjoy your stay.)
Explanation on behalf of the title: the “chotto matte!” part is from Maa’s B.L.T. U-17 questionnaire where she answered that as her most-used saying. It generally means “wait a second!” or something like that. The latter section of the title should be entirely obvious, but it’s actually a shoutout to a song I’m currently addicted to listening to. I thank Vulpi for the inspiration (okay, basically she just gave me the title) and all credit goes to her.
Alright, kids, boring meta is over! Hopefully I’ll be capable of keeping up with my first worship blog. In the meantime, go here for more info.
